History of the Internet
In 1969 the U.S. Department of Defence ARPA project - ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network) did a demonstration how to communicate without distance limitations (infinite distance) over telephone lines using computer hardware and software-based UNIX operating system. In proyerk ARPANET after the designed shape with standard network reliability and how much information can be transferred to share then formed a new protocol called TCP / IP (Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol).
The purpose of the original ARPANET project is actually only limited military purposes only, at the time a computer network system designed to connect computers to the area / region vital.
ARPANET in 1969, initially only connect 4 sites only include the Stanford Research Institute, University of California, Santa Barbara, University of Utah become an integrated network. Then in October 1972 the ARPANET was introduced in general and soon growing throughout the region until the ARPANET trouble management. So ARPANET split into two parts, namely "MILNET" for military and ARPANET smaller in non-military purposes. Over time the combination of the two networks are widely known as the DARPA Internet and then reduces again to the Internet as we know it today. The term Internet was first used in 1982 with the development of a name server that allows users to connect to a particular host.
Internet has been growing very rapidly make users growing and growing with a variety of services that can be found both in accessing information from various sites, communication live chat, free email, and share data directly using specific tools or software and use the File Transfer Protocol ( FTP). In the use of the Internet should be wise to use as well as maintain the security of computers connected using the best antivirus in order to be protected from any virtual world surfing activity.
